Good evening every one! Are we enjoying ourselves tonight here in the Kodak Theater? Is Lala doing a great job or what, huh? Beautiful music, beautiful dancing and I love it! ♫♪

Thank you for inviting me here tonight. I’m honored to be among the Persian community. The city of Los Angeles enjoys what you bring to Los Angeles, and we love that you respect us and we respect you as great parts of Los Angeles. Thank you so much!

At this point, I want to share with you that the city of Los Angeles, the city council, has given us this great duty tonight — myself and mariam — to honor Lala as a great artist, not only of the world, but someone who we can celebrate here in Los Angeles so I have a recognition that I want to present to her.

This is something that the entire city of Los Angeles city council has adopted, and I’m gonna read it to you right now… oh! Someone said translate it into Farsi! ♫♪
